Responsibilities:

Within Technical Operations, our team manages the complex test development and implementation of our high performance portfolio of products within Contract Manufacturing environments. Juniper products are designed and manufactured with the highest quality of technical excellence for our customers. Utilizing innovative test processes and solutions, candidates will be exposed to various facets of test operations while experiencing the opportunity to further their individual careers.



We are currently looking for a Software Test Engineer to help automate our tests and write test tools in the operations test software development group. This opportunity is for an experienced self-starter who can drive activities to successful completion. The candidate will be tasked with developing automated test solutions to validate networking platforms and data collection/analysis tools.


The Senior Software Test Engineer will be responsible for :
• Developing automated test scripts in Perl for use in a contract manufacturing envirnoment.

• Controlling development software using a source code version control system (CVS)

• Participating in and/or leading code reviews.

• Coordinating or performing regression tests before test scripts are deployed.

• Providing leadership and guidance to other software test engineers.

• Interfacing with software development engineers to resolve any automation issues.

• Interfacing with hardware test engineers or process engineers to efficiently automate the test processes.

• Helping define the next generation test executive and/or test tools.

• Participating in and/or leading software training classes.

• Minor hardware setup and/or reconfiguration.

Desired Skills & Experience

Skills/Experience:
• 5+ years of development experience in a test environment.

• Must be strong in Perl and/or C++.

• Experience with unit, integration and system test concepts.

• Experience developing test procedures, both manual and automated.

• Experience with test automation tools and methodologies.

• Must have hardware/software experience.

• Must have an excellent grasp of networking technologies and physical interfaces.

• Possess a demonstrated track record of planning and implementation of product test process.

• Bachelors or Masters Degree in EE or CS.


Preferred Experience:
• Object oriented design and analysis.

• Experience with Perl is desired or must be willing to learn and develop in Perl.

• Linux and or Unix Experience.

• Using Ethernet and serial ports for command and control.

• Experience with CM test process.

• Experience with networking equipment.

• Experience with UNIX-based development systems and tools, including CVS for source code version control (helpful).

• Experience with Database Applications.

Industrial Design Brand Manager

Job Description:

Reporting to the Director of Brand Experience and working with product development throughout Juniper’s business groups and with Juniper’s external industrial design vendor, this job will establish a new design program within Juniper and will oversee the implementation of Juniper’s industrial and branding design across all business units in the company. Position will play a key role in Juniper’s business process re-engineering, working with business groups and manufacturing on design solutions to improve quality and supply chain metrics. Combined with leadership and motivation this position provides candidates with a unique opportunity to grow and transform this new in-house design position into a strategic corporate design program.

While a major focus of this position is to implement hardware design, the position will be responsible for proper branding from name development/selection to ensuring that packaging meets brand specifications. We are looking for someone who has a deep understanding of design principles and can use their experience to balance form, function, and business goals to elevate the Juniper Brand and enhance the customer experience. Primary responsibilities include:

• Implement Juniper’s industrial design specifications across all business units (working with outside design firm(s) and Juniper’s team of mechanical engineers)

• Implementation of proper branding in GUI (working with outside design firm and user experience professionals)

• Ownership and implementation of Juniper’s product naming taxonomy

• Ownership and implementation of Juniper’s branding on product packaging

• Day-to-day management of simultaneous project activities; delivering approved designs to agreed specifications within time constraints. Foster the development of innovative and strategic design solutions based on customer needs.

• Coordinate with Marketing and Brand leadership to deploy and evolve the Juniper design language and trade dress.



Qualifications:

The ideal candidate will have a proven record that fulfills the majority of these requirements:

• BS, BFA or masters in Industrial or Product Design

• 7+ years of product design experience in the IT industry, Communications experience highly preferred.

• Proven ability to lead and manage people with diverse, simultaneous projects of varying complexities.

• Record of achieving objectives; successful project completion and a portfolio of prior work.

• Excellent written and communications skills able to operate at all levels of the company
