Qualifications:

- BS/MS EE/CS with 4+ years work experience in the wireless product development.

- Good understanding of 802.11 wireless protocols and networking fundamentals.

- Proficiency in C/C++ programming, software development and embedded systems.

Position: RF Design Engineer

Details:

The position will be within the hardware group of the WLAN (Wireless Local Area Network) unit of Juniper Networks. The ideal candidate will be the lead for all aspects of RF design and functionality for Juniper’s WLAN Access Points.

Sr. Process Engineer

Location: Sunnyvale, CA



The Sr. process engineer is responsible for NPI and production support activities primarily focused on the support of complex test assembly process deployed world wide for production of networking products. The focus is on understanding, validating, and supporting test processes deployed to contract manufacturers (CMs); acting as first point of escalation for CM production engineers; and assuring all after “PCBA completion” processes are properly documented and that change requests are submitted and executed accurately.



Detail duties include:

-BOM structuring and submission of ECO’s for high level assemblies for NPIs

-Packaging and label design review and implementation

-Work with HW & SW test engineers to define test process flows, owner of test procedure for CMs use to define product testing through major test steps includes Oracle pack-out

-Review contract Manufacturing (CM) facilities/floor set up, capacity planning and product introduction

-Assisting with test process definition, MPI development, and test tool development

-Conducting CM system-level assembly and test training

-Supporting late phase prototype and early pilot system assembly (include beta launch)

-Driving quality issues related to product and process in routine production

-Validating test software changes for release to manufacturing sites during production

-Driving cycle time reductions during mass production by performing data review, failure analysis, and working with test developer to continuously improve processes



Background required:

-Required a BS (EE or IE), or equivalent, and a minimum of 7 years of manufacturing engineering experience in a system build or contract manufacturing environment. Agile experience is a plus.

-Must possess excellent verbal and written communication skills and be a highly motivated self-starter who performs well with minimal supervision

Job Title: Manufacturing Test Engineer 3

Location: Sunnyvale, CA

Within Technical Operations, our team manages the complex test development and implementation of our high performance portfolio of products within Contract Manufacturing environments. Utilizing innovative test processes and solutions, candidates will be exposed to various facets of test operations while experiencing the opportunity to further their individual careers.



We are currently looking for a Software Test Engineer to help automate our tests and write test tools in the operations test software development group. This opportunity is for an experienced self-starter who can drive activities to successful completion. The candidate will be tasked with developing automated test solutions to validate networking platforms and data collection/analysis tools.



The Senior Software Test Engineer will be responsible for :

• Developing automated test scripts in Perl for use in a contract manufacturing envirnoment.

• Controlling development software using a source code version control system (CVS)

• Participating in and/or leading code reviews.

• Coordinating or performing regression tests before test scripts are deployed.

• Providing leadership and guidance to other software test engineers.

• Interfacing with software development engineers to resolve any automation issues.

• Interfacing with hardware test engineers or process engineers to efficiently automate the test processes.

• Helping define the next generation test executive and/or test tools.

• Participating in and/or leading software training classes.

• Minor hardware setup and/or reconfiguration.



Skills/Experience:

• 5+ years of development experience in a test environment.

• Must be strong in Perl and/or C++.

• Experience with unit, integration and system test concepts.

• Experience developing test procedures, both manual and automated.

• Experience with test automation tools and methodologies.

• Must have hardware/software experience.

• Must have an excellent grasp of networking technologies and physical interfaces.

• Possess a demonstrated track record of planning and implementation of product test process.

• Bachelors or Masters Degree in EE or CS.



Preferred Experience:

• Object oriented design and analysis.

• Experience with Perl is desired or must be willing to learn and develop in Perl.

Job Title: Senior Hardware Electronics Technician

Location: Sunnyvale, CA



We are looking for a senior hardware electronics technician to perform assembly, test, debug, repair of laboratory hardware as well as to perform various lab management tasks.





Responsibilities:

• Technician support for Mfg Test Engineering lab.



• Assemble, test, verification, troubleshooting and rework of prototypes.



• Assemble, test, verification and troubleshooting of test fixtures, cabling and adapters.



• Failure analysis support for contract manufacturers as well as for field organizations.



• Assist in various lab management duties including installation of systems/assemblies, maintenance/repair of lab equipment, physical inventory tracking, lab policies and procurement of lab supplies. Must be able to lift up to 45lbs and some heavy material lifting may be required.



• Operate thermal test chamber, load products under test, monitor and support users.



• Perform all job functions in adherence to TL9000 practices.



• If needed, provide support to remote partners. Some domestic/international travel may be needed







Requirements:

• Minimum 8 years of experience in similar role working on complex electronic assemblies.



• AS in Electronics or equivalent required.



• Strong knowledge of basic electronics, digital and analog theory is required.



• Excellent failure analysis troubleshooting skills of complex circuitry to component level is required.



• Excellent solder rework skills, including fine pitch SMT components is required.



• Proficiency with use of power and hand tools to include drills and wire crimping tools, for pins, connectors, lugs, etc.



• Proficiency with usage of test and debug equipment including oscilloscopes, various meters, power supplies, boundary scan tools, component programming software & equipment, inspection equipment including high magnification microscopes & cameras.



• Well versed in UNIX, Linux, Windows and Microsoft Office, Adobe usage.



• Familiar with Document Control and CAD tools for viewing schematics, BOMs, ECOs etc. Knowledge of Agile is a plus.



• Ability to manage multiple projects in parallel, balancing workload and priorities while insuring timely completion of projects on schedule.



• Excellent communication skills.



• Ability to work independently with limited supervision.



• Ability to work well with multiple functional groups.



• Telecommunications product experience is a plus.

Title: Software Engineer –Packet Forwarding

As a member of a talented team in the Ethernet Platforms group, you will develop packet forwarding software for the Juniper EX High performance Ethernet switches family of products. This role is focused on architecture, design, development and enhancement of Firewall, QoS, and L2/L3 packet forwarding technologies on EX current family of products as well as next generation switching products.



Responsibilities:

• Develop detail functional specification and software design documents.

• Design, develop and maintain software components.

• Work closely with ASIC vendor for getting functionality in the chips operational.

• Work closely with QA team in developing test plans.

• Develop and execute detailed unit tests for features, as well as supporting the features during the test cycle.



Qualifications and Experience:

• 10 years of embedded software development experience

• BS/MS in CE/CS or similar field

• In depth data networking knowledge Ethernet, IP is required.

• Good knowledge of Packet Forwarding Data Path in Routers and Switches is required.

• Good knowledge of firewall ACL or QoS is required.

• Previous Hands-on experience of firewall ACL or QoS is highly desired.

• Experience in working with ASIC vendors is highly desired.

• Extensive experience in C coding, algorithms and data structures is required.

• Experience with FreeBSD or related Operating Systems is highly desired.

• Must be a self motivated team player. Must have good communication skills and be able to interact well with the development peers to understand both own tasks and overall development architecture.
